We are seeking an experienced Construction Interiors Superintendent to join a family-first firm with an EXCELLENT client reputation. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tenant fit-out projects, including corporate offices in Research Triangle Park, retail buildouts, and potentially laboratory renovations.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors, vendors, and tradesmen
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, and the broader construction team
- Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and provide creative solutions
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Foster a collaborative, productive, and safety-focused work environment
Qualifications:
- 4-10 years of experience as a construction superintendent, with a focus on interiors projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing tenant fit-outs, office buildouts, and other commercial interior construction
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Working knowledge of building codes, permit processes, and safety regulations
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or construction management training a plus
